Organic is the most heavily regulated food system in the country. Only organic guarantees no toxic persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used in production. Organic producers and processors are subject to rigorous announced – and unannounced – certification inspections by third-party inspectors to ensure that they are producing and processing organic products in a manner you and your family can trust.
A trademark – “India Organic” will be granted on the basis of compliance with the National Standards for Organic Production (NSOP). Communicating the genuineness as well as the origin of the product, this trademark will be owned by the Government of India. Only such exporters, manufacturers and processors whose products are duly certified by the accredited certification Bodies, will be granted the licence to use of the logo which would be governed by a set of regulations.
The India Organic certified seal is the only guarantee that your food has been grown without toxic pesticides, most synthetic fertilizers and other unwanted tampering. It also indicates that food that has been produced in compliance with government standards.
